The lovely and talented Anna King

We are lucky to have an amazing student teacher from UW Madison with us in the art room this quarter.  Feel free to stop by and chat with her!  She loves drawing, chickens, and quesadillas...so the conversation can start there!

The 100th day

Today was the 100th day of school!  The 100th day is exciting for all of us.  We showed our 100th day spirit by dressing "like old people" and wearing 100 items.

 Old Man #1

 100 Stickers

 Old Man #2

Old People (Old Lady Powell in the background)

 100 Conversation Hearts

 100 Happy Smiles

 100 Gems

 100 Pieces of Cereal

100 Tattoos (ADORABLE)

4/5 Woven Pocket

The 4/5's have been weaving and weaving!  We have been weaving for A LONG TIME!  This project proved to be super challenging and rather advanced, but the results have been absolutely beautiful.

Better late than never...

We're still here!  Sorry it's been so long since I last updated the blog.

Lately in art we have been making...

K/1: Warm/cool color abstract watercolor paintings

K/1: Winter Cardinal Paintings

 2/3: Aboriginal Dot Paintings

Thankful Thanksgiving

Hoping you and your family have a happy and safe Thanksgiving.  I am thankful everyday for my job here at VHE, and my students that I love so dearly.

When we work hard we...

get to play!
